Battery Indicator on MacBook Pro late 2012 retina inaccurate

The battery indicator while booted into Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS is very inaccurate. True example: When I unplug the charger, it will instantly say that it is low after over 24hrs of charging. And when it says it's time to charge the battery, it lasts over an hour until it really dies. Is there a fix for this? Thanks in advance.
